Set up your class

Your students' stories come back to this computer, automatically. No accounts, no logins, nothing for children to remember.

1
Make a team for each computer. You'll get a team name and a secret code — something like brave-otter and 481533. Write it down, or tape it to that machine. You only do this once.
2
Children type it in when they sit down. That's all they ever enter — no name, no email, no password to forget. If a group moves to a different computer, they type the same two things and their story is waiting for them.
3
Their work arrives here on its own. A few seconds after a child stops drawing, their story is sent back and saved into the folder you pick below — with a dated history, so you can see how a story grew, not just where it ended up.
Is it private? What if I lose the folder?

Yes, it's private. Each team's work is scrambled on the child's own computer before it is sent, using their secret code as the key. Nothing in between can read a word of it — not us, not the company whose computers carry it. Your computer is the only place it exists in readable form.

The codes are the only key. They live in a file called teacher.json in your class folder. Keep a backup somewhere safe. If that file is lost, the stories cannot be recovered — not by you, and not by us. That is the flip side of nobody else being able to read them.

Children are anonymous. A team identifies a computer, not a person. No child ever creates an account, and no name or email of theirs is ever stored anywhere.
